India slide presentation will be based on selected photographs from Robert Arnett's internationally acclaimed, award- winning book India Unveiled: Spirit, Tradition, People. and the heart-warming stories that he experienced in India.   

The stunning images and text will give insight and understanding into how India’s ancient history has defined the country’s unique character. One of the world’s first great urban civilizations, the audience will learn why India’s profound contributions to the world have left its mark on numerous well-known persons. Mark Twain said, “India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.” 

Now the world’s largest democracy with over a billion people, the presentation will highlight the vast panorama of religions, traditions, and cultures that over thousands of years have coalesced into the broad secular nature of Indian traditions and make India the oldest continually surviving civilization on earth.
